NATURE PROGRAMS ARE BEING DESIGNED AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED AUGUST 2017.   CAMP SIZE OF 20 CAMPERS PER TIME SESSION.

NATURE CAMP IN JULY

Every Wednesday in July morning and afternoon camp at Joe Ford Nature Center.  Special quest are coming to speak on Indian Artifacts, Bees and Honey and Tapping for Maple syrup.  There maybe samples of honey and maple syrup, so please advise us if your child can not sample products.  As always hand on activities and crafts.  During Rocks and Gems there will be a demonstration of how to pan for stones. The museum and gift shop will be open during camp times.  Most items are geared toward children and the cost is normally $2-$4, some items maybe more.

nature camp in june

Every Wednesday morning and afternoon camp at Joe Ford Nature. Morning camp begins at 9-12pm and host 7-10 year old and afternoon begins at 1-4pm and host 11-14 year old, camp size limited to 20 per group.  June camp topics will be: Spider n Snakes, Dinosaurs, Creatures of the Night and their Sounds and Origins of the Gecko.  Hands on with the snakes and Gecko, crafts, and interesting topics. The museum and gift shop will be open during the camp times.  Most items are geared toward children and the cost is normally $2-$4, some items maybe more. 


FAMILY EVENTS

At Joe Ford Nature Center, we want to connect people to nature while having a great time as a family. Each year, JFNC offers Music in the Park and other nature related programs.  In 2017 Joe Ford Nature will be offering Nature Camp in June and July and during the Fall and Winter break.  These programs are designed for 7-14 year olds with hands on nature experience.  September 15, 2017 JFNC will host a fundraiser with special guest Eddie Price a local historian who will entertain with a dramatic narrative of Kentucky Owensboro history.  Tickets will go on sale in July call for more information.
